Weekend HABit Nov_22_2009
The Canadiens had a rare game on Friday against Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. The Franchise crew of Whittaker, Murdocco and Stein cover the week that was for the Montreal Canadiens, and bring in Ken Karl from The Ticket in Detroit to preview Saturday night's game against the Red Wings.
Amanda Stein has been on a crusade to ride the NHL of head shots, and this time she's brought friends! And not just any friends, but Mary Kay Messier from The Messier Project, who is working with her brother Mark Messier on promoting a new helmet that significantly reduces the chances of head injury. She also has Dr. Alain Ptito who is a Neurology expert that not only talks about the effects of a concussion, but what the NHL has recently done to help quickly diagnose its effects on players during the game. Of course, Gary Whitaker and Nick Murdocco are on hand to break down the shoutout loss to Detroit, and look at the week ahead against Columbus and Pittsburgh.
