Interview with Attendee of Funeral Services for Yaroslavl Lokomotiv Team

Yaroslavl LokomotivAlexandre Pouliot-Roberge, a journalist from Quebec, presently in Russia following and reporting on the KHL, joined us moments after attending the funeral services held to mourn the passing of the players from Yaroslavl Lokomotiv hockey team that perished in a tragic plane crash on September 7th, 2011.

In this interview, we discussed:

  • His reaction, and what he was doing at the time
  • The reaction of the teams in the KHL, the Russian community?
  • We referred to the fact that United Airlines had a sponsorship deal with one team, would other teams quickly follow suit?
  • Have they released further info regarding the cause?
  • Is the age and condition of the planes a worry for these players/coaches.
  • The funeral services.. over 100,000 people attended!
  • How does the team, the KHL and the people of Yaroslavl move on.
