W-1 Bad Blood results
The Pierre Charbonneau centre was the host of the very first Warrior One MMA gala in the city of Montreal. The event demonstrated a high level of fighting to the delight of the die hard fans, despite the lower than expected attendance. Jack Bateman did announce 2 surprise signings as he proudly presented Steve Bosse and Misha Cirkunov to the W1 faithful. Both had been signed to exclusve (to Quebec) 3 fight deals. Misha Cirkunov made his pro MMA debut on January 30th at Ringside MMA's Triple Threat, while Steve Bosse is coming off a win against UFC veteran Marvin Eastman on February 27th at MFL 2 Battleground.
Fight of the night has to go to Antonio Carvalho vs Eddie Fyvie. Carvalho took the nod in this one and displayed well rounded skills demonstrating great ring control, counter striking and vicious ground and pound. His opponent Eddie Fyvie showed very good jiu jitsu getting back in guard on numerous occasions and nearly got his experienced rival in a guillotine choke.

Submission of the night goes to John fraser for his slick armbar on Tom Waters that seemed pop his elbow out of place. Out of a scramble Waters leaves his arm open for just a fraction of a second, it’s all it took for the crafty submission specialist Fraser to slap on a tight armbar that forced Waters to tap. The bout which was originally supposed to be a title fight was changed to a three rounder as Tom Waters was unable to make weight. This is the second time in a row that Waters fails to make weight. He should consider changing either his diet or weight category.

Knockout of the night came out early in the evening from the bantamweights, Josh Hill and Denis Gagne. Hill wasted no time and took the fight to the ground and pounded out his opponent with vicious strikes that forced the referee to call the fight after only 43 seconds.
