UFC TUF Season 10 Weigh in Results and Predictions
Weigh in results are in brackets
Predictions are in bold
-Roy Nelson (263) vs. Brendan Schaub (240)
If Roy Nelson needed any more motivation for this fight, he got it when watching even the 1st episode of this season's Ultimate Fighter. Dana White was ragging on him from the beginning, and only gave Big Country a modicum of respect on the final show. Unfortunately for Schaub, Nelson is a complete MMA fighter, and Schaub only has a puncher's chance.
-Jon Jones (206) vs. Matt Hamill (206)
"Bones" Jones is a great young phenom that can stand and bang with the best of them. Matt Hamill has the right skills to beat a guy like Jones, but would rather stand and bang. If he does, he'll wake up having lost this fight.
-Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson (212) vs. Houston Alexander (208)
It already looked like Dana White was preparing to distance himself from the Kimbo Slice experiment on the last episode, when he questioned Ferguson's refusal to get back into the Ultimate Fighter competition. This is a must win for him. Houston Alexander has lost 3 straight, and if he can't beat Kimbo, he's out of the UFC.
-Frankie Edgar (155) vs. Matt Veach (155)
This really is a no-win situation for Frankie Edgar. He is supposed to beat Veach, so anything less than a solid performance against this undefeated youngster will be a set up. As for Veach, even a good performance is a win in his books.
-Marcus Jones (262) vs. Matt Mitrione (255)
Big Baby Jones vs Cry Baby Mitrione, or at least that is how this season was edited to make it look like. If the fight goes to the ground, Jones wins. If it stays standing, you have to go with Mitrione. However, given the lack of enthusiasm either fighter showed as it relates to their MMA careers, I think this is the last time either fights for the UFC.
Preliminary Bouts (Non-Televised):
-James McSweeney (235) vs. Darrill Schoonover (261)
-Justin Wren (251) vs. Jon Madsen (247)
-Brian Stann (205) vs. Rodney Wallace (203)
-Dennis Hallman (169) vs. John Howard (170)
-Mark Bocek (156) vs. Joe Brammer (155)
