UFC TUF Season 10 Finale Quick Results
-Roy Nelson beats Brendan Schaub by KO at 3:45, Round 1
From the time Roy Nelson was announced as a cast member of Season 10, people "in the know" knew that Roy Nelson was the favourate to win it all. However, because this was all about Heavyweights, and MMA can be so open to game changing punches, there was always a chance someone would get lucky and knock Nelson out on his road to win the show. How ironic it was that Big Country himself was the one doing the knocking out. While the season was a big disappointment for MMA fans, and the show was even worse, MMA purists will (or should) be happy with the fact that the winner proves that you can't just be any kind of athletic to be good at MMA, you actually have to have specific skills at fighting.
-Matt Hamill defeats Jon Jones by DQ (illegal elbows) in Round 1
Maybe this will teach Hamill that he is not a good enough striker to take on actual strikers in MMA. I understand that you have to have a certain kind of pig-headed determination in order to overcome the adversity and challenges that he has faced in his life, but sometimes you need to understand what your strengths are, and stick with it.
Now, that was what I was writing until the DQ decision was announced. Hamill, and the UFC fans both knows he won this fight. The question is whether this is worth even having a rematch over.
-Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson def. Houston Alexander by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
The Franchise had it Round 1 10 - 9 Alexander, Round 2 10-8 Slice, Round 3 10-9 Alexander for a 28-28 draw
Yes, Kimbo displayed improved ground skills, but for a man who is supposed to be a "brawler", he had no answers for Houston Alexander's basic technique of circle-kick-run. Kimbo typically fights at around 235 pounds, and had to have a catch weight against a much smaller opponent. Do Dana White or Joe Silva really think Kimbo can do the same against a legit Heavyweight?
-Frankie Edgar def. Matt Veach by submission (rear naked choke) at 2:22, R2
Frankie Edgar needed a strong performance, and he delivered. Veach did show his strength early, but Edgar showed his experience and talent by slowly breaking Veach down.
-Matt Mitrione def. Marcus Jones by KO at :10, R2
Sloppy and sad, a testiment to season 10 of the Ultimate Fighter.
Preliminary Bouts:
-James McSweeney def Darrill Schoonover by TKO at 3:20, R3
-Jon Madsen def Justin Wren vis Split Decision (30-27,28-29,29-28)

-John Howard def Dennis Hallman by TKO at 4:55, R3
