Ti-Cats Tamed in Brutal Loss
Talk about bouncing back after struggling in their last two games, the Alouettes make a man-sized statement in their dismantling of the Hamilton Tigercats. It seemed less about what Hamilton did wrong, and more about what the Als could do right, as their offense scored on their first four possessions, maintained control of the ball for over 70% of the first half, and simply dominated on defence and special teams throughout the game.
Avon Cobourne racked up almost 200 yards on the ground (including 2 touchdowns) and grabbed another 46 yards in the air. 12 year veteran Ben Cahoon caught 5 passes for 53 yards, but also passed former CFL great Don Narcisse to become 4th overall in the CFL for receptions all time.
The Alouettes are all but mathematically confirmed to win the East with a 10-2 record, and a 4 game lead over the 2nd place Ti-Cats. Montreal will next face the Argonauts on October 3rd in Toronto, before welcoming the Stampeders in Percival Molson Stadium on October 12th.
