The Montreal Juniors win their third game in a row.

After returning home from a short roadtrip to Rouyn-Noranda and Val D'Or the Juniors were able to pull off their third victory in four days beating the Halifax Mooseheads 5-2 at the Verdun Auditorium.

The Juniors fell behind quickly in the first period after Mooseheads' forward Brett Andrews was able to capitalize on the powerplay to give his team a 1-0 lead. Juniors forward Jean-Christophe Laflamme got one by Mooseheads goaltender Anthony Terenzio to tie the game at 1. The Mooseheads fired back once again on the powerplay Charles Bety's goal made it a one goal game going into the second period.



In the second period, Louis Leblanc scored on the powerplay thanks to a pass from Nicholas Chouinard and Charles Landry. Not longer afterwards the Juniors go back on the powerplay, Tampa Bay Lightning's prospect Charles Landry scores off a pass from Louis Leblanc and Nicholas Chouinard. Later on in the period newly acquired Raphael Pouliot scores his first goal as a Montreal Junior to allow the Juniors to take a 2 goal lead. Mooseheads goaltender Anthony Terenzio was pulled and was replace by Fred Piche.

Matt Provost added the fifth goal and final for the Juniors in the third period.


Pascal Vincent started back up goaltender Etienne Marcoux for the second time in three games.

No real update on any of the injured players. Detroit Red Wings prospect Louis-Marc Aubry who was initially expected to be back at the end of this month will only return mid February, he's out with a broken finger.
