Written by Jessica Rusnak. Posted in Blogs - The Rumble

Gatineau ended the 1st period with a 3-0 lead over the Juniors. The Juniors came out strong in the 2nd, Tampa Bay Lightning's prospect Charles Landry scored the 1st goal of the game for the Juniors. Only seconds later Louis Leblanc made it a one goal game. While on the Powerplay Francis Meilleur was able to capitalize on the man advantage to tie the game at 3.

The Juniors started the 3rd period hoping to keep their momentum from the 2nd period going but that was not the case. Raphael Fontaine scored the game winner for Gatineau. Fontaine's goal was followed up by a goal from Adam Janosik to make the final score 5-3.

The Juniors have 3 key forwards out of the line up. Louis Marc Aubry is out til the end of the month with a broken finger. Philippe Lefebvre and newly acquired forward Viktor Hertzberg both suffered concussions in Saturday's game against Val D'or there is no timeline for their return.

...
horrible losses in Hertzberg and Lefebvre! Juniors gave up Denis kindl and a 1st round pick for Hertzberg and he scored 2 goals in his 1st and only game as a Junior. Hopefully both are precautionary and can come back in time to help the Juniors go past the 2nd round. (something they have not been able to do yet.)
