Run, Forrest, Run! Griffen Awarded UFC 101 Bonus
That's right! Forrest Griffen ran all the way to the bank as he and Anderson will cash a 60k check for "fight of the night" honors. Anderson Silva actually wins an extra 60k for KO of the night. It defies logic in how the UFC continues to promote Forrest Griffen. History will show him to be one of the most over-hyped "Gateway" fighters in the LHW division. Does the UFC brass really think that his effort against Silva was more deserving that that of Kenny Florian's against BJ Penn?? UFC 101 was a huge letdown from UFC 100, and will not carry forward the kind of momentum Dana White was looking for in order to grow the sport.
