Ringside III Main Event Announced

Written by Gary "Rumble" Whittaker. Posted in Blogs - The Rumble

RingsideAs discussed on our last episode of the Franchise Weigh In with Ringside President Éric Champoux, Ringside III will be headlined by Steve "The Boss" Bossé as he takes on Craig "Farmer" Brown. Brown is Warrior One's Light Heavyweight Champion, and this fight will be disputed at...205 pounds! Already a "small" Heavyweight, Bossé figures to easily make this new weight class. This is not totally unexpected, as there was discussions in the past for Steve to fight Martin Désilets at Light Heavyweight in TKO or XMMA.

Also announced by Mr. Champoux was the return of "The Lionheart", Steve Vigneault! Vigneault has not fought since 2006 when he lost at UFC 58 to Mike "Quick" Swick. This is the 3rd time Vigneault was to make his return in 2009, and his fans will be hoping that "third time's a charm" in September. His opponent has been named, as he will be taking on active veteran Dan Chambers. Chambers has had 24 pro fights (according to Sherdog), but has been on a skid recently, losing 5 of his last 6 fights.

Finally, Eric Champoux confirmed that Ringside III will be moved from September 26th to September 19th, in order to make way for a boxing match on the 26th. Tickets for Ringside III will be available as of August 22nd.
