Written by Jessica Rusnak. Posted in Blogs - The Rumble

The Montreal Juniors were on the road at Centre Robert-Guertin taking on their division rivals the Gatineau Olympiques.

Phil Lefebvre scored the first goal of the game in the 2nd period thanks to a pass from Louis-Marc Aubry who is not only his team mate but also his best friend. They grew up together in Trois-Rivieres and played on the same Midget AAA as Michael Bournival and Vancouver Canucks prospect Pierre-Olivier Morin. The four of them train together in Trois- Rivieresin the off season.

Later on in the 2nd Jean-Gabriel Pageau (Hugo Laporte, Tye McGinn) tied the game at 1.

In the third period Dylan Anderson (Eli Sherbatov) scored to give the Juniors a one goal lead. With only 37 seconds left Christian Ouellet (Mathieu Gagnon, Jean Gabriel Pageau) tied the game and pushed it into OT.

The overtime period solved nothing forcing them into shootouts. JF Berube couldn't handle the shots of Igor Levitsky and Jean Gabriel Pageau. Max Clermont stopped both of Montreal shooters Phil Lefebvre and David Rose.

Pascal Vincent was not behind the bench on Sunday's game against Drummondville. Saturday Dec 11 at 10:30pm he welcomed his first child a baby girl who weighed  9 pounds 1 ounce. Both mom and baby are doing great.

Juniors last game before the Christmas break is this Friday Against Lewiston.
