MFL Battleground Fight Card, Including Loiseau and Bossé
MFL has just released their fight card for "Battleground", that will take place on February 27th at the Centre Sportif Claude Robillard in Montreal. Headlining this MMA event will be David "The Crow" Loiseau. This will be The Crow's first fight since losing to Ed "Short Fuse" Herman at UFC 97 on April 18th, 2009.
Also on the card will be Steve "The Boss" Bossé in a catch weight of 215 against Jason "Lethal" Cecil. Cecil had fought for the light heavyweight belt in XMMA against Martin Désilets, however he will be in tough against a real beast in the ring, Steve Bossé.
This card is full of intriguing matchups. Tom Murphy is a fantastic wrestler, and he goes up against Bruno Hosier, who has the best striking I have seen out of a heavyweight in Quebec. This fight will also be fought at a catch weight of 225.
Martin Grandmont has won his last 4 fights since losing to Sam Stout, and he takes on the French Sébastien Garguier. Garguier fought at the first MFL card, losing to Guillaume de Lorenzi, but he will find former kickboxer Martin Grandmont a much different kind of fighter.
Dimitri Waardenburg continues his quest of climbing the bantamweight ranks by taking on veteran fighter Mark Fraiser. It's Kickboxing vs Muay Thai in this bout, however Waardenburg has shown much improved grappling since training with Zahabi MMA at Tri Star gym.
