MFL Back on February 27th, 2010
The MFL (Mixed Fight League)has announced the date and title for their 2nd MMA gala. It will be called "Battleground" and will be held in Montreal at the Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard on February 27th, 2010. Expected to be on the card is a bout between TFC Light Heavyweight Champion Victor Valimaki and XMMA Light Heavyweight Champion Martin Désilets. This is an important fight for "Stress" Désilets, as he is looking to set up a match between himself and Steve Bossé in the near future.
Another huge fight will be between Hosier Bruno and Tom Murphy. Both fighters are undefeated, however Murphy has the pedigree with one of his wins coming in the UFC. Bruno is a feared striker while Murphy has great wrestling and solid ground and pound.
This card will also feature top prospect Derek Gauthier, as well as rising prospects Bruno Lurette and Alex Garcia. American fighter Joey Gambino will also be on the card.
With the UFC slated to come back to Montreal on May 1st, every event, every performance is critical for this rising stars of Quebec MMA.
