ECC event to take place on Saturday
While W-1 has been the big news for fights coming up in the Halifax area, A familiar promotion in the area will be doing one before hand. Extreme Cage Combat will be holding there 11th event on September 25th. The fight's will take place at Palooka's boxing gym.
The main event will see a ladies headline the card as Tannaya Hantlemen will face Shannon Ludlow. Hantlemen lives in the Halifax area and is coming off an impressive win over Anna Barone last month at Wreck MMA in Montreal. With Ludlow, she will be making her debut.
Goodall goes for title in Edmonton
After coming off an win at Friday Night Fights over Tim Skidmore, Ricky Goodall will be getting his chance to get his first title shot next weekend. He will face Travis Briere at Unified MMA 5 next Friday night out in Edmonton, Alberta. Goodall comes in with a record of 6-2 and will be looking to take advantage of this opportunity.
Briere will be bringing a record of 5-1 into this event. He is mainly a knockout artist who has been a poster boy for the company, headlining three of there four events. Best of luck to both fighters on Friday.
Tickets/New Fight added to W-1
W-1 has been keeping busy to bring a top quality card to Halifax on October 23rd. Tickets are now on sale at the Halifax forum for the event with prices ranging from $40.00 to $150.
It also looks like there can be another fight added to the card. According to a source of one of the fighters, PEI's Travis Axworthy with take on Halifax's Jeremy Josey. Josey is currently 1-1 in his career and he trains out of Titan's gym where he has been a sparring partner with Roger Hollett. Axworthy is 3-4 in his career but has lost four straight with his last lost over two years ago to Chad Cox. He is now training at Fitplus in Dartmouth.
The company has announced on there site that they have brought in some of their main sponsors. The new modern rock station Live 105 and promotion company East Coast Dynamics
