Jan 15 Grant set to fight Hendricks at UFC 113

It looks like TJ Grant will be back to fight in Montreal. The Franchise has learned that the UFC fighter will fight Johnny Hendricks at UFC 113 at the Bell Centre set for May 1st. The news was first posted on facebook but I was able to reach Grant and his manager Scott Maclean by phone today and both said that the contracts have been signed. They are expecting to hear back from Hendricks camp this weekend but it does look like all signs are pointing to yes.

Grant is coming off a knockout of the night win over Kevin Burns at UFC 107 back on December 5th in Memphis.  Grant is 15-3 in his mixed martial arts career and is 2-1 for the Zuffa based promotion with a win over Ryo Chonan and a lose to Dong Hyun Kim. Hendricks is also coming off win at UFC 107 via decision over newcomer Richardo Funch. He is 7-0 in his mma career and is 2-0 in the UFC with a victory over TUF 7 winner Amir Sadollah. It should be a good ground fight with Grant's wrestling and Jiu Jitsu background and Hendricks being a two NCAA division 1 wrestling champion. Both are good in the stand-up department as well.
