Game 15 Preview: Canadiens vs Canucks
It's hot front meeting cold front as the Vancouver Canucks bring their 6 game win streak into the Bell Center on Tuesday night to take on the struggling Montreal Canadiens. The Habs have only won once in their last 4 games, where they have been outscored 11-6 by the Panthers, Blue Jackets, Sabres and Senators. Those were hardly opponents who strike fear in the hearts of their adversaries, someone that the Sedin brothers have managed to do all by themselves. While they both may the Vancouver Canucks with 16 points, Luongo could be the cure for what ails the Canadiens, as he has allowed 7 goals in his last 2 games.

The Skinny on the Canadiens
With the continued dominating performance of Jaroslav Halak, Habs fans are now starting to turn their heads to....Lars Eller. While Price may not have Halakian type numbers, he has silenced his critics with his solid play. Lars Eller and his 1 assist and minus 3 rating in 13 games, have not.
Instead of demoting Lars Eller to Hamilton, the Canadiens have decided to place Dustin Boyd on waivers, and apparently have no intention of sending him down to Hamilton.
Jacques Martin has not been able to get any consistent production from anyone other than the newly coined PHD (Pouliot, Halpern, Darche) line since Oct 27th against the New York Islanders. Cammalleri and Kostitsyn have been gone cold under Martin's "leadership".
John Carlson of the Washington Capitals appears to be taking the early lead as best rookie over PK Subban. Both have 6 assists, but Carlson has been able to find the back of the net two times. It's not for lack of trying however, as PK Subban is second amongst rookies in shots taken, but Carlson has also now overtaken Subban in average ice time.
There was a rumour that Scott Gomez had a verbal confrontation with Jacques Martin. Let's hope that Gomez can at least partially earn his enormous salary by trying to save Martin from himself and his ridiculous over-coaching on a shift by shift basis that was the brutal loss against Alex Kovalev and the Ottawa Senators Saturday night.
