Arlovski Inks Deal

Written by Jordan Small. Posted in Blogs - The Rumble

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski is officially on the Strikeforce roster. Andrei announced on his website he has signed a multi-fight deal with the organization that will last over a 16-month period.

Arlovski hasn't competed in mixed martial arts since suffering a quick KO loss to heavy-handed Brett Rogers last June. Rumours say Arlovski will lock horns with another former champion under the Strikeforce banner. The only Elite XC heavyweight champ Antonio "Big Foot" Silva will likely get the call to face Andrei in May, which is he same card Fedor Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum are expected to headline.

Andrei adds to the list of recent big name multi-fight signee's like Fedor Emelianenko and Dan Henderson with the promotion.
