USL - Montreal Impact Kick Off 2009 Season - Name Gabriel Gervais as Builder - Add Zanzan and Pa Amadou Gai
The Montreal Impact officially presented their 2009 roster Wednesday evening, at the Maison de la Culture Maisonneuve, during their annual pre-season banquet. All were on hand from Nick De Santils, Joey Saputo, John Limniatis and his coaching staff as well as all players, veteran and newcomers as they met and greeted various fans and media just before embarking on a season starting road trip that begins this Saturday in Charleston.
The Impact took the opportunity of the banquet to honour former player Gabriel Gervais who was recognized as Team Builder during the team's pre-season banquet. Gervais made his mark in the organization thanks to his talent, determination and commitment to soccer. He will now act as ambassador for the Impact. Some of the newer names just inked to a contract are Gambian forward Pa Amadou Gai as well as Belgian defender, Zanzan, a native of Togo. Zanzan... Now that has "fan favourite" written all over it.. Time will tell. Read here for the full story.
