USL - MONTREAL IMPACT FACES NEW FOE AS THE AUSTIN AZTEX VISIT SAPUTO STADIUM ON SUNDAY
The Montreal Impact (0-3-2) plays its second game in less than 48 hours and its sixth game of the season against the Austin Aztex (1-0-3), Sunday, at 3:30 pm at Stade Saputo.
As were the Charelston Battery in yesterday's game, the expansion team Aztex are also undefeated, heading into Montreal and will try and extend their streak at the Impact's expense. Montreal, who controlled most of yesterday's game, settled for a 0-0 tie and will look for their first win of the season in new interim coach Marc Dos Santos' 2nd game of the season at the helm.
After this game, the Impact will continue on in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship where they will embark in a home and away series with the Vancouver Whitecaps starting Wednesday, May 20th. One would think that with the recent loss to Toronto FC, two wins are absolutely necessary if the Impact wishes to pursue their aspirations of moving on to the 2009 CONCACAF playoffs that saw them make it to the quarterfinals in last years event.
Please read on for the Impact press release.
