USL - Montreal Impact 3 - Miami FC 1 in Pre-season Exhibition Play
Continuing their exhibition play in Sunrise Florida, the Montreal Impact registered a 3-1 win against their USL First Division rivals, Miami FC. This was Montreal's third and final preseason game in Florida.
Impact midfielder Tony Donatelli scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick in the 9th minute and Roberto Brown doubled Montreal’s lead in the 41st minute. Miami would cut the lead to 1 with a goal of their own in the 72nd but Joey Gjertsen scored only moments later to cement the win for the Impact.
With this third and last game in Florida, The Impact will return to Montreal on Tuesday where they will continue their training in preparation for their 2009 season which begins on April 18th in Charleston.
