USL - Montreal Impact 2009 Season Opener ends in 0-0 Tie Vs Charleston Battery

The Montreal Impact kicked off their 2009 regular season with a 0-0 tie against the Charleston Battery, Saturday, at Blackbaud Stadium, in Charleston, South Carolina.

With this tie, 'keeper Matt Jordan registered his 21st career shutout while newcomers Kevin Sakuda and Stephen deRoux had their first season start and career game with the Impact. Eduardo Sebrango, an instant key element for the Impact during their 2008 CONCACAF run, entered the game at the 57th minute in his first USL game in an Impact uniform since his return to Montreal, November 12.
