
THE IMPACT TO PLAY AGAINST FC GIRONDINS DE BORDEAUX JULY 28 AT SAPUTO STADIUM

The Montreal Impact and the French Football League announced today the presentation of a friendly game between the Montreal Impact and the French Ligue 1 champion, FC Girondins de Bordeaux, July 28, at Saputo Stadium, in the scope of the Champions Trophy.
This announcement by team president Joey Saputo came just days after the announcement that the Champions Trophy, opposing the French Cup winner to the Ligue 1 season champion team, will be played at Olympic Stadium, in Montreal, Saturday, July 25th. “We are glad to announce that a 5th international game will be played in Montreal this summer,” said Saputo, referring to the other games already on the schedule including the friendly's between the Impact and the Haitian and Syrian national teams.
According to the General Manager of the French Football League Jean-Pierre Hugues, "We came with a good idea of how the Montreal Impact was and we haven’t been disappointed in any way. It’s a very professional organisation that owns superb facilities and equipment. Our partnership could not have started better. All this bodes well for the two upcoming July games.”
Ticket sales for the July 28 friendly game Vs Bordeaux will start Friday, June 12th at 10 am, through Admission (514-790-1245 / admission.com) or at the ticketing office of Saputo Stadium. Ticket prices will range between $10 and $30 (taxes included). Youth rates for spectators aged 16 and under, as well as special group rates, will also be offered.
