Smells Like Hockey Season ! Habs Training Camps To Commence This Week

According to the Montreal Canadiens' official press release, they have announced the 23 prospects that will participate in the team’s rookie camp from September 15-18 at the Bell Centre. Among them are Guillaume Latendresse's younger brother Olivier, off season signing Max Pacioretty and up and coming defencman PK Subban.

All 23 players will be participating in on-ice sessions at the Bell Centre, from September 15-17, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. On September 18, physical testings will be performed on-ice, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Players will also participate in daily off-ice conditioning sessions. 12 of the 23 players at camp are Canadiens’ draft selections. 17 of the 23 players also participated in the Canadiens’ development camp last July.

Following is the list of players attending the 2008 Canadiens rookie camp. Players will be available to the media daily following on-ice practice sessions.

Canadiens’ main training camp will debut on Friday, September 19 as players report for medicals and physical exams at the Bell Centre. The training camp will run until Wednesday, October 8, and will include practice sessions open to the public at the Sportplexe 4-Glaces in Pierrefonds (Sept. 20-21) and a stay in Mont-Tremblant on October 2-3.
