
QMJHL - Series Tied at 2 As Rouyn-Noranda Huskies Defeat Montreal Juniors 3-2

Two quick goals in the third period gave Rouyn-Noranda the edge over the Montreal Junior on Wednesday night in a game four matchup of the LHJMQ first round playoff series.
Jérémy Gouchie opened the scoring on the night on an unassisted short-handed goal at the 19:21 mark of the first. Gouchie’s first of the playoffs gave the Junior the lead heading into the second.
Rouyn-Noranda struck early in the middle frame as Jeff Desjardins beat Junior net-minder Jake Allen, evening the score on the power-play. The Junior managed to fire only four shots at Mickael Audette during the period.
Tied at one to start the third, Rouyn-Noranda scored two goals in the span of 1:04 in their winning effort. Brad Yetman scored his first of the series, while Jeff Desjardins scored his second of the game to give the Huskies a 3-1 lead. Junior right-winger Toni Ritter reduced the Junior deficit to one goal at 14:56 on an unassisted power-play goal. Unable to produce any further offence, the Huskies won the game 3-2 and evened the series at 2-2.
The teams return to Montreal on Friday night, where the Junior will look to regain the lead in the series in the game five matchup. Game five will begin at 7:35pm at the Verdun Auditorium. Game six will be in Rouyn-Noranda on March 29th.
