QMJHL - Game 1 Round 2 : Montreal Juniors lose 7-1 Vs Drummondville Voltigeurs

The Montreal Junior opened their second round playoff series on the road against QMJHL powerhouse Drummondville on Friday night, falling by a score of 7-1.

Jake Allen started in goal for the Junior, who were unable to build off their first round series win. Drummondville fired fifteen shots at Allen during the first frame, who allowed two goals. Mike Hoffman and Danny Massé tallied for DrummondvilleIn the second frame Drummondville continued their offensive ways as Mike Hoffman, Chris DiDominico, Yannick Riendeau and Samson Mahbod all tallied for the home team.

J.F. Bérubé replaced Junior goalie Jake Allen to start the final frame, letting in one goal on thirty shots. The Junior finally got themselves on the scoreboard when Nick Layton beat Drummondville goalie Marco Cousineau, to bring the final score to 7-1.

Montreal will play again tonight in Drummondville for Game Two, and will return to Montreal on Tuesday for Game Three at 7pm the Verdun Auditorium. Game Four will be played Wednesday night at 7pm.
