Price Hike

The Franchise host Gary Whittaker has been trying to cure the Habs fever that takes hold of Montrealers when the hockey season starts. He tries to bring sense to the common, with his 2 cents, and he's bringing more for the people again. Carey Price needs to take a hike. Carey Price needs to go. Trade him now, while his value as a future franchise goaltender is high, and get yourself the quality established player you need to advance far in the playoffs.

He won't be traded, that is almost a certainty, but he should be. I just want to be the first to publically start the campaign to rid the Habs of Price. Montrealer's, and really Habs fans across North America seem to have a severely over inflated sense of worth of their players. People call in to radio shows, and print articles for ridiculous trades, trades that would make no sense if you were the other GM. Would you really take Ryder if you were Calgary, in exchange for Tanguay, as if a 3rd round pick could truly balance that trade out? Or trade Hossa for Sergei Kostitsyn and a 3rd round pick?

And is it just me, or does it seem like this will be the quietest trade deadline is over a decade? I am sure there will be a few deals done, but those souls over at sportsnet starting their televised day at 7:30 AM EST are going to need a lot of coffee to make it through the day.
