Pizzolitto, Jordan and Di Lorenzo Named to USL All-League Teams
The Cinderella story that is the Montreal Impact's 2008 season would not have been possible without key players stepping up and contributing game in and game out. This point was emphasized today when it was announced that three Impact players were selected to the United Soccer Leagues First Division All-League Teams.
Defender Nevio Pizzolitto was selected to the first team, while goalkeeper Matt Jordan and midfielder Leonardo Di Lorenzo received second-team honors. While the Impact's success was made possible by contributions by all members of the team at all positions, it seems fitting that the positions of midfield, defense and goaltending are well represented by the team.
