Montreal Juniors: Angelo Esposito Done For The Season. Out for 4-6 Months With Knee Injury

Written by Nick Murdocco. Posted in Blogs - Nick Murdocco

Angelo Esposito

The Franchise has just learned that Angelo Esposito will have played his last game as a Montreal Junior for 2008/09.

Esposito, who needed to be helped off the ice by teammates after a collision along the boards during the Juniors' 3-2 victory over the Victoriaville Tigres last Wednesday night never came back for another shift.

While details will surely follow, as the team doctor has not yet provided the official update, we have learned that Esposito has suffered a knee injury that will require surgery. Estimated time of recovery is 4-6 months, surely counting Angelo out of the rest of the Juniors' season. One has to wonder if the game against the Tigres was, in fact Angelo's last game as a Junior as he will be eligible to join the Thrashers organization in 2010.

Best of luck to Angelo and a speedy, healthy recovery.
