
Montreal Juniors Adjust Their 08-09 Roster Via Trades and Releases

With the regular season fast approaching, the Montreal Juniors of the LHJMQ must make some decisions regarding their final roster for the 2008-09 season. Some more players have been released outright while others have been traded within the "Q" for other players or for future considerations.

Montreal, September 2, 2008 – Montreal Juniors announced a few changes on their list of players today.
Montreal Juniors made other cuts late last night. Goalies Michael Codina-Lucia and Jean-Sébastien Lefin, defensive players David Foucher and Dany Roch and wingers Will Johnson and Olivier Tremblay were sent home.
Trades were also made this morning. Defensive player Michael Roski will be playing for Shawinigan Cataractes this winter and 17-year-old defensive player, Samuel Fortier, comes to Montreal. Montreal Juniors acquire forward Matthew Brenton of the Moncton Wildcats in return of a 7th round pick in 2009. Finally, Olivier Tremblay joins the Baie-Comeau Drakkars in return of a 5th round pick in 2010.
Montreal Juniors will face the Gatineau Olympics in Centre Robert-Guertin on Friday. The two teams will be back at the Verdun Auditorium on Sunday, September 7th, for the last pre-season game.
