Montreal Juniors Active in the Community

With their recent 3 game winning streak presently in progress, the Montreal Juniors are not only giving it their all on the ice, but are also very active and giving with their time off the ice as well. Just before the Holiday season, the team will be out and about assisting with various community events in order to either raise awareness or lend a helping hand for the community. Want to join them to support a cause, for a bite to eat or an aoutograph? Below are the various events they will participate in during the next few days.

NOVEMBER 30TH, 2008 – 2009 KRAFT HOCKEYVILLE CHÂTEAUGUAY

All the players will be in Châteauguay on Sunday, December 30th to support the initiative of a 14-year old hockey fan who wants Châteauguay to become “Kraft Hockeyville 2009”. The Hockeyville committee, with Charlo Patenaude as its leader, wants Châteauguay to be considered as the community that best embodies the spirit of hockey and hometown pride. Games, music and a tailgate party are on the program. Come meet the Montreal Juniors!

When? :

Sunday, November 30th, 2008, from 9am to 4pm. The players will be there to sign autographs from 12pm to 2.30pm.

 

DECEMBER 2ND, 2008 – VERDUN CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING EVENT

This event takes place at Du Souvenir Park, in front of the Verdun Borough Hall. This year, the Verdun Christmas tree lighting event will celebrate the spirit of the Holiday season. Gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate will be served.

Santa Claus and some players of the Montreal Juniors will be there on this special occasion…

When?:

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008, from 5pm to 7pm.

 

DECEMBER 5TH, 2008 – GENERATIONS FOUNDATION HOLIDAY BREAKFAST

The players and coaches will be at Buffet La Stanza for the Generations Foundation Holiday Breakfast. 100% of the proceeds from this important event will be used to finance urgently needed meals for undernourished school children. Tickets are on sale for only $10 per person.

When?:

Friday, December 5th, 2008, from 6.30am to 9.30am. The players and coaches will be there from 7.30am to 9.30am.

Given the unacceptable level of child poverty, their major focus is on children who suffer from hunger, neglect and social problems. To enable children to learn, they must be properly nourished.
