Montreal Impact's Run on the Nutrilite Championship Ends with 1-0 Loss to Vancouver Whitecaps.
In their third game of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship, Wednesday, the Montreal Impact (0-3-0) was shut out 1-0 by the Vancouver Whitecaps (2-1-0), at Swangard Stadium, in Burnaby, near Vancouver.
With this loss, Montreal is now eliminated from contention and it will now be left up to either the Whitecaps or Toronto FC to represent Canada in the CONCACAF Championship Series. This early exit is rather hard to accept for all fans and players alike after the amazing run they had all the way to the quarterfinals last year. The Impact will now look to put their relatively less than mediocre USL season back on track with a game against Rochester this Saturday night.
Please read on for the Impact game recap.
