With 5 games remaining in their regular season schedule and needing only 3 wins to clinch a playoff spot, the Montreal Impact gets ready to face the Portland Timbers at Saputo Stadium on Monday September 8th. This will be their last home game before they embark on a road trip that will see them travel to Seattle, Vancouver and Minnesota in order to take care of USL business. in between those stops, they have a stopover in Trinidad and Tobago on September 17th where they will attempt to advance in the CONCACAF Champion's League group series in game 1 of 2 against Tunapuna Joe Public FC.
The Impact then head back home on September 21st for their last regular season home game where they will fittingly confront the USL's top team, the Puerto Rico Islanders in what perhaps will be a preview of a future, potential playoff match-up.
