It's going to be a 3 team tournament to find out not only which of Canada's 3 professional soccer teams is the best, but the winner will also represent Canada in the new CONCACAF Champions League. This was announced at a press conference in Toronto this afternoon.

In addition, Joey Saputo, who is the President of the Montreal Impact FC and the Saputo Stadium, also took some time before the press conference to address rumours that he and George Gillet will be looking at getting into the MLS.

"I can confirm today that we are in discussions with Gillett Entertainment Group as well as with Major League Soccer to bring an MLS franchise to Montreal. However I am currently in no position to share any more details, since doing so could jeopardize the process. When we will have more concrete information that we are able to share we will gladly do so."

Back to the Impact, they will be going up against Toronto and Vancouver for a series of home and away games, with the first about a week after the home opener on May 27th (against Vancouver) as they take on the Toronto FC. Make sure to go out and support your Montreal Impact!
