Montreal Impact Mount Comeback, Salvage Point in 2-2 Draw Vs Austin Aztex
After last Wednesday's 4-1 win against Cleveland, the Montreal Impact headed into Austin looking to embark on a winning streak. but after falling behind 2-0 midway through the 2nd half, they will gladly settle for an unbeaten streak instead, as they rallied back with 2 late goals including one in extra time to salvage a point in their 2-2 draw vs the Aztex.
Pierre-Rudolph Mayard and Roberto Brown combined for the Impact, who until recently, may not have had the self confidence or motivation to perservere when down by one goal, let alone two, in the second half of the game.
With recent off pitch drama probably behind them, the Impact will look to have a strong second half of the season as they presently hold down the 7th and last USL division 1 playoff berth.
