The Montreal Impact will face of against  French Ligue 1 champion team, FC Girondins de Bordeaux Tuesday at Saputo Stadium, at 7:30 pm (corussports.com, radio-canada.ca/sports, CKAC Sports, THE TEAM 990),

This will be the 5th of six international matches presented in Montreal this summer. This is the third international match in the calendar for the Impact with the last one being against River Plate in August.

“It will not be easy because it’s an excellent team and also because we’re playing a 4th match in 10 days,” noted Impact head coach Marc Dos Santos. “We nevertheless need to have a good attitude and show character. Field players are the ones who can make a difference. It will be a special day, so we need to believe. Once again, it will be important for us to play intelligently, especially on defense.”

Team captain Mauro Biello welcomes the challenge, “It will be an incredible experience. For the younger players as much as for the veterans, it’s a dream to be able to measure ourselves to a first division French club. We need to do our best and work as a team. Playing against a superior team is always an occasion for improvement.”

Bordeaux , resh off their recent Champions Trphy victory over En Avant de Guingamp at Olympic Stadium, will bring with them an arsenal of scoring power. Three of their players ended the 2008-09 season with more than 10 goals apiece: Marouane Chamakh and Fernando Cavenaghi with 13 goals and Yoann Gourcuff with 12.

Goalkeeper Matt Jordan is most likely to get the nod Tuesday after Srdjan Djekanovic has started in the last four matches.

While Bordeaux's coach Laurent Blanc stated that he would peobably not field the same starters as in Saturday's game, the Impact also will sit out a few of their own. Defender Nevio Pizzolitto and midfielder David Testo will rest for this game, as both have had their lion's share of playing time in the last few weeks.

Look for Portuguese midfielder Deodato and French midfielder Faissal Zaghar who are trying out with the Impact until August 6. They should play during both international matches against Bordeaux and River Plate.
