Matt Jordan Named Team MVP at Impact's Annual Awards Banquet
A jovial time was had by all players, coaches, staff, media and select guests as the Montreal Impact held their annual awards banquet Thursday, at the Maison de laCulture Maisonneuve. Among the honors up for grabs were the Defensive player of the year, Newcomer of the Year, the Unsung Hero Award as well as the team's MVP with Nevio Pizzolitto, Stefano Pesoli, Joey Gjertsen and Matt Jordan collecting the plaques for those titles respectively.
Amidst the fine food, drink and music was a sense of accomplishment, retrospection at the year that was and still is, the USL championship elimination after an amazing second half resurgencece as well as a look ahead at the future of the Montreal Impact pertaining to the CONCACAF, the USL and of course the MLS.
