The Montreal Juniors were not the only hockey team in action last night as they were host to the Rimouski Oceanic at the Verdun Auditorium. This game was the second of a home and away series against the Oceanic and the first of a four game home stand for the Juniors.
While Rimouski served the Juniors a shootout loss (5-4) last week, the Juniors resoinded in kind, going all the way to a seventh shooter to settle this one by a score of 2-1 for Montreal.
Nicolas Chouinard potted his 12th of the season for Montreal in the first period, but Ryan Kavanagh tied it up in thw second. After all was said and done, it was Loic Poudrier who would get the final goal and Jake Allen who was called upon to make 38 saves as well as the all important final stop in the shootout that brought the win to the Juniors.
After a day off today, Montreal plays Val D’Or Sunday at 16:05.
