Impact takes on Wake Forest University in Final Pre-season Game
The Impact will play its eighth and final exhibition game of training camp against Wake Forest University (NCAA), Monday, at WakeMed Soccer Complex, in North Carolina.
“It’s an excellent, well organized team with a solid head on its shoulders, so we will have to be at our best on Monday,” said Impact head coach Marc Dos Santos. “It’s a young and energetic team that will try to prove something, so we will have to play the same way we did against the RailHawks. »
Romanian goalkeeper Andrei Badescu, who signed his first contract with the Impact on March 17, will get his first start of training camp on Monday.
In seven preseason matches, the Montreal Impact has a record of two wins (2-1 versus UQAM/McGill and 5-1 versus Freamunde), two losses (2-1 versus Celta de Vigo and 1-0 versus Rochester) and three draws (1-1 versus Boavista, 1-1 versus Charleston and 1-1 versus Carolina).
The Impact will play its first season match April 11 against the Aztex in Austin, and will be hosting the Portland Timbers for its home opener at Saputo Stadium, Sunday, April 25 at 2 pm.
Individual tickets will go on sale Monday at 9 am through Admission (514-790-1245 / 1-800-361-4595/ admission.com), as well as at the Saputo Stadium ticketing office. 2010 season tickets are currently on sale.
