The Montreal Impact head to Puerto Rico where they will face off against the Islanders this Saturday at 8 pm at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium, in Bayamon (USLlive.com).

Despite Wednesday's late game 1-0 loss to the Portland Timbers, with a win in this, the first match of a two-game road trip, Montreal would remain in 6th position in the standings ahead of its closest rivals, the Miami FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Impact will then face the Cleveland City Stars, in Cleveland, Tuesday (7 pm, USLlive.com).

The good news for the Impact is that they have only lost three times in 16 regular season matches against the Puerto Rico Islanders (9-3-4, 18 GF – 9 GA), but so far this season, Montreal has lost twice against the Islanders going 3-2 in Bayamon, May 2, and 1-0 in Montreal, July 19.

In their quest to accumulate points and ensure a spot in the USL playoffs, Montreal should definitely not take the Islanders lightly. For a second consecutive year, the Islanders qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League group phase. In the preliminary round, Puerto Rico shut out this year's Canadian champions, Toronto FC, 1-0 on aggregate goals, on a home-and-away series, July 29 and August 4.

The Impact's next home game is Sunday, August 23rd when the Austin Aztex come to town.
