Habs Win Again, Rude Welcome to NHL for Carle
Montreal Canadiens pick up their 2nd straight preseason win, this time against the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings. Habs win 3 to 2 on a shoot out goal by Andre Markav. However, preseason is more about performance than wins or loses, and the Canadiens coaching staff will be looking hard at the performance of one Mathieu Carle to see if he has learned, or is still suffering any effects from a brutal check by Tomas Kopecky that left the young defencemen unconscious. Mathieu Carle had to be carried off the ice on a stretcher, but was later found to be "fine".
