Jul 31 Habs Prospect Louis Leblanc Will Suit Up For The Juniors

After all the meetings, the visits, the sales pitches, the text messages from potential teammates and of course the “what’s in it for me’s ” The Montreal Juniors announced that recently signed prospect of the Montreal Canadiens Louis Leblanc will, in fact play for  Pascal Vincent and his upstart Montreal Juniors.

As confirmed live on The Franchise radio show on the TEAM 990 this morning by team president Martin Routhier, Leblanc has foregone the hallowed halls of Harvard for a taste of a more realistic NHL-esque hockey schedule and potentially a few courses at Mcgill.

This is great news for the Juniors who were already bitten with regards to the rights they had acquired with other Habs prospect Alexander Avtsin, who felt he was above the “Q”. Leblanc, who is expected to be at both the World Junior Development Camp this week, should also be expected to face the music as he laces them up at the Juniors training camp which begins on August 15^th, however, something tells me he will have gotten the Lion’s share of press coverage between now and then.
