Esposito Makes Up For Lost Time En Route to Juniors Win Over Victoriaville, 8-4

While Angelo Esposito registered an assist in his first game back as a Junior against the l'Acadie-Bathurst Titans, in his sophomore game on Sunday he potted 2 goals and added 4 assists while the Juniors earned an 8-4 Victory in Victoriaville.
The Juniors have now won their last 4 games in a row, coinciding with the return of all of Montreal's veterans and while Esposito, last to arrive, was a welcomed addition, he is not the only one burning up the scoreboard.
Luke Adam also tallied a hat-trick and added 2 assists and Guillaume Asselin scored 2 of his own as Montreal scored first and scored often on their way to the domination of the Victoriaville Tigres on their home ice.
The Juniors, presently on a lengthy road swing where they will play 5 games in 7 days and have gained wins, composure and confidence since the team has become complete. Montreal out-shot the Tigres 37-29 including a lopsided 2nd period where Montreal had the edge 11-2 leading to a 4th victory for Montreal goaltender Jake Allen.
While 2 of the Juniors' biggest areas that needed improvement during their first 4 games, were the power-play as well as penalty killing, the marked progress in specialty teams should be noted as of late. While the Juniors did allow 5 Titan power-plays, they limited their opponents to 1 goal during that span while they managed to score a shorthanded goal of their own with Esposito finding the net in a 3rd period penalty kill. Montreal was given three chances of their own and Asselin tallied for the Juniors during one of them in that same 3rd period.
It would seem that the future is rather bright for the Juniors and as the maroon machine rolls on during this extensive road trip, where they make stops in Rimouski, Halifax, St John and Moncton, one would hope that it will garner them the following they deserve and that this following presents itself in the form of a sold out Verdun Auditorium when the proverbial sons return to face the Huskies from Rouyn Noranda, a team that defeated them here at home, prior to this winning streak.
