Damon Duval Named Special Teams Player of the Week (Week 12)
Montreal Alouettes’ kicker Damon Duval has been named the Canadian Football League’s Special Teams Player of the Week (week 12) after he almost singlehandedly beat Winnipeg with his 19 points in the Als’ 33-14 win over the Bluebombers at Percival Molson Stadium.

Duval made five field goals on on as many attempts while recording two singles on seven punts and two converts. He currently leads the CFL with 30 field goals, 18 singles and 140 points.
Duval, a 5 year CFL vet who arguably had his best season in terms of numbers last season is well on his way to either tying or surpassing last season’s numbers across the board.
While many would argue that it is not necessarily a good thing that Damon Duval is needed as much in order to score these points, as the Als are having trouble finding the end-zone of late, the fact remains that his offence is getting him the opportunity to score if they can’t complete their plays and it is up to him to convert.
And convert he does. Award well merited.
