Coach Marc Dos Santos Ejected as Impact Battles Rochester Rhinos
After Sandro Grande was recently suspended by the Montreal Impact following an altercation between him and Mauro Biello, that saw Grande lunge for Biello's neck, it would seem that the act is contagious.
During tonight's match versus the Rhinos in Rochester, Dos Santos apparently had a few words with Rhino player Tiger Fitzpatrick as he apparently refused to hand Fitzpatrick the ball for a Rhinos throw-in. When words did not appear enough, it seems Dos Santos grabbed the Rhinos player by the neck.
Needless to say, Dos Santos was ejected from the game and it now will be a question of what the league and the Impact will lay down as punishment for his actions.
When Dos Santos replaced John Limniatis, it appeared that he brought with him a sense of calmness and serenity, that most players said they welcomed, however, lately, it would seem that nothing is going quite the way the Impact expected as the team is winless in its last 3 and have been outscored 8-1 in their last 4 games.
Add to this the recent team suspension of Grande due to infighting as well as the skipper's ejection for the same act and one has to wonder when the bottom will fall out.
