Carbonneau's Last Stand
Former Montreal Canadiens Head Coach Guy Carbonneau met with the media today, to offer his point of view on everything surrounding his dismissal. Carbonneau was extremely candid, sometimes funny, but always respectful of the organisation, it's players, and it's management. Habs Inside Out did a great job in recapping the major points, and offering the full audio of the interview. TSN also has a quick video clip.
I also feel that Carbonneau should have been given a chance to see how his vision would pan out, but Gainey had decided to once again terminate a coach during the final stretch before the playoffs. The simple fact of the matter, is that the Canadiens appeared to be playing without a system, or at least, without a system a team full of young call ups due to injury, could understand.
