MONTREAL (December 2, 2009) – Montreal Canadiens General manager Bob Gainey announced today that the Club has traded centreman Kyle Chipchura to the Anaheim Ducks, in return for a 4th round pick in 2011.
A native of Westlock, Alberta, Chipchura played 19 games with the Canadiens this season. He was held pointless, served 16 penalty minutes with a -10 plus/minus rating and averaging 8:37 minutes of ice time per game.
The 6’02’’ and 206 lbs forward entered his third NHL season in 2009-10. Chipchura played 68 regular season games recording 14 points (4 goals, 10 assists) and 31 penalty minutes.
Chipchura won the Calder Cup with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2007.
