They obviously like Marc-André Bergeron at the forward position as the Montreal Canadiens just announced that they have recalled defenseman Yanick Weber from the Hamilton Bulldogs.
With Jaroslav Spacek out with a lower body injury, the Canadiens have decided to call up young Weber for another shot on the blue line as Bergeron will remain in the line-up as a winger and the two can probably trade off on the point during power-play opportunities.
No word yet on the duration of Spacek’s injury, which would most likely coincide with Weber’s return to Hamilton.
