Canadiens recall Sergei Kostitsyn from the Hamilton Bulldogs
Could this be the spark that is needed to jumpstart the lethargic elder borther?
The Montreal Canadiens announced Sunday that forward Sergei Kostitsyn had been recalled from the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs.
Kostitsyn, who started the 2008-09 campaign with the Canadiens, was assigned to the Bulldogs on February 17, 2009. In 16 games with the Bulldogs, the 22-year-old amassed 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists), posted a plus 4 rating and served 18 penalty minutes.
This season with the Canadiens, Kostitsyn scored 23 points (8 goals, 15 assists) and served 64 penalty minutes in 52 games.
