Canadiens recall Kyle Chipchura from the Hamilton Bulldogs

Looking for that ever missing spark, the Montreal Canadiens have announced that Kyle Chipchura will be making the flight from Hamilton to Colorado in order to join the big team in the midst of a road swing that could use some new blood.

Kyle Chipchura has been recalled from the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs. 

Chipchura leads the Hamilton Bulldogs (tied with Ryan Russell) this season with a plus-18 rating. In 33 games with the Canadiens’ parent club, the centreman also scored 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists) and served 29 penalty minutes.

Chipchura, a Canadiens first-round selection, 18th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, played eight games with Montreal this season, collecting two points (2 assists), serving five penalty minutes with an average ice time of 10:50.

Chipchura is expected to join the Canadiens today in Colorado.
