Canadiens recall Gregory Stewart from the Hamilton Bulldogs
The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forward Gregory Stewart has been recalled from the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs.
Stewart scored 15 points (7 goals, 8 assists) and posted a plus-5 rating with 131 penalty minutes in 40 games this season with the Bulldogs.
Last season, the 22-year-old left-winger was held scoreless in one game with the Canadiens, his first in the NHL, firing two shots on goal and serving five penalty minutes in 11:26 of playing time.
Stewart, an eighth-round selection (246th overall) at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, will join the Canadiens today in preparation for their game against the Nashville Predators.
